Press Release

Your wellness is king, especially during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and all the measures we’re taking as a community to slow down the rate of infection.

Even if you haven’t been directly affected by the coronavirus, it’s safe to assume that aspects of your everyday life have had to change, which may have forced you to abandon your usual wellness routines. A healthy diet, physical activity and quality sleep should all work together to make you feel at your best (physically and mentally), however these can easily slip if you don’t make an effort to be proactive about your health and wellness.

I thought it timely to provide a few tips and resources that you may already have on your myDNA Portal and App that can help you stay healthy and boost your immunity.

STAY HEALTHY AND BOOST YOUR IMMUNITY AT HOME

Personalised meal plans

Dozens of nutritious recipes in Meal Plans tailored to your DNA.

Home workouts

Eight weeks of workouts catered to your DNA that you can do from the comfort of your living room. In fact, we’ve made some free home workouts available on our website for anyone who wants to stay fit at home.

Personalised vitamins food guide

To help you make better choices and boost your immune system.

Your DNA provides useful information about your unique body, your ideal nutrition plan, what type of exercise suits your body and which medication and dosage works best for you. By understanding your body’s needs and responses, you can make better, smarter choices about your wellness.

Don’t forget to protect yourself and others

And, of course, help protect yourself and others by following good hygiene, self-isolation and social distancing promoted by the World Health Organization:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soapy water
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces
  • Use alcohol-based hand sanitisers
  • Stay at home if you’re feeling unwell and have flu-like symptoms
  • Cough and sneeze into your elbow or a tissue
  • Dispose of tissues properly
Your wellbeing includes your mental health

We’re all making drastic changes to our lives to help “flatten the curve” of COVID-19 infection, which probably means you’re now limiting your contact with other people and spending most of your day in your home. Uncertainty, concern for our family and our job are top of mind for many of us. Let’s remember that we’re all in this together, and to look after the vulnerable in our community.

If you’re struggling to manage any feelings of anxiety, distress and concern around the coronavirus, there are many useful resources available to you, like Beyond Blue’s wellbeing advice.

We hope you can make use of all the myDNA wellness insights and tools currently on your myDNA Portal and App so you can stay healthy and build your immunity.

Look after yourselves, your loved ones and your community.

Kind Regards,
