What is the myDNA Medication test?

myDNA Medication is a pharmacogenomic test which identifies variations in a number of genes. These variations have been shown to affect the therapeutic response and/or risk of side effects to a number of prescribed medications.

What is the myDNA Fitness & Nutrition test?

myDNA Fitness & Nutrition is a genetic test which helps customers make more informed health, nutrition and lifestyle decisions. The test analyses a number of genes that can influence an individual’s diet and weight. A personalised report is then sent to the customer which provides recommendations and advice on diet, exercise and nutrition.

Why do I need to complete accreditation?

Pharmacies must undertake myDNA accreditation to offer myDNA in their pharmacy. Accreditation helps pharmacists and staff to gain an understanding of the myDNA suite of products, and includes modules on:

  • Pharmacogenomics
  • Nutrigenomics
  • Product information
  • Customer identification

How do I become accredited?

Registration and accreditation consist of 2 steps:

  1. Registration: Registration is completed through the myDNA pharmacy registration portal.
  2. myDNA training: All nominated staff are required to undertake training.

Once my pharmacy is accredited, how do I run the myDNA Program?

Following accreditation, your stores will be sent an opening order containing point of sale material and myDNA test kits. To request a myDNA test for a customer, visit https://partners.mydna.life/.

How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password by visiting https://partners.mydna.life/. If you experience issues with resetting your password, please email support@mydna.life.

How do I add additional team members to complete the training?

Simply call 1300 436 373 or email support@mydna.life to organise staff training.

Conducting the test

How do I use the test kit?

Sample collection can be conducted in the pharmacy or by the customer at home. Instructions are printed on the inside of the kit.

When and how will I receive patient reports?

Once the sample has been received by myDNA, you can expect the results in 10 to 15 business days.
Patient reports will be available via email and via the myDNA Pharmacy Portal.

Who is the requesting practitioner?

The pharmacist conducting the test is the requesting practitioner, unless the patient opts for their doctor to receive the results directly. In this case, the report will also be sent to the pharmacist.
