myDNA is proud to announce we are partnering with Bupa to provide pharmacogenomic services to Bupa customers*.
In an Australian first, Bupa has today announced an offer of a limited number of free pharmacogenomic testing kits until November 30, 2025, through the Blua platform. Details included on the website below.
Pharmacogenomics helps identify how your unique genetic profile affects your response to medicines, moving beyond trial-and-error prescribing helping doctors design more effective and personalized treatment plans.
After a simple cheek swab, Bupa customers will be required to attend an appointment with their GP at their own cost. Results are shared with GPs, assisting them to tailor treatments and may help reduce side effects and potential hospital admissions. For customers not on medications, the results from this test last a lifetime so the report is ready should medications be required in the future.
At myDNA, we’ve spent more than 15 years pioneering pharmacogenomic solutions globally. This partnership is a powerful milestone on our mission to make precision health standard care for all Australians.
Together, we’re helping doctors design personalised and effective treatment plans for their patients.
*Offer available for Bupa Health Insurance members, who are 18+ and live in Australia and patients of a Bupa Medical Centre. To qualify for free testing, customers need to order test kits by November 30, 2025, and have the sample returned by December 31, 2025. Free testing kits will be limited to 10,000 kits. GP appointments to review the results will be paid for by the customer.
